Kate Myatt Named Furman Fellow

Kate Myatt - Furman Fellow
Furman Fellows awards are $5,000 fellowships presented to five members of the senior class who have shown an ability to think creatively and imaginatively, demonstrated innovative problem-solving skills, and proven that they are capable of making a difference in the world and in the lives of others.  Students are nominated for the fellowships by faculty and staff.  A committee meets over the summer to make the selections. The awards are made possible through the generosity of Bob Buckman, a former Furman trustee, and his wife, Joyce Mollerup. Kate Myatt (center), economics major, soccer player, volunteer, and leader, received the Furman Fellowship at the 2008 fall convocation.
