On Wednesday,
March 9, Dan
Mitchell of the Heritage Foundation visited the Senior Seminar
Class in Economics and joined several Furman economics and
mathematics-economics majors for lunch.
Dr. Mitchell, a tireless advocate of tax reform,
international tax competition, and social security reform, was in
Greenville do discuss the Heritage
Foundation's Index of Economic Freedom with the members of the
Piedmont Economic Club.
Dr. Mitchell received his PhD from George Mason University and his
Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Georgia.
